Chicago Show!

Ok, I have been back a couple days from my Chicago show and am so thankful and relieved it was successful for my 2nd show! I sold 7 originals and lots of prints and am hoping to move onward and upward for more connections and opportunities! Interestingly, most of my pieces sold to out-of-towners rather than to actual Chicago dwellers, so now I am having adventures in shipping, so we'll see how that goes...

But yes, lots of love, lots of kindness, and such wonderful people both patrons and artists alike passed through my booth... I feel lucky.

Here are my booth walls...

And here are the pieces that sold...

This little girl went to a kind man actually living in Chicago-

This was one of my favorites and I was glad to see her go to a good home... A lady from Chicago took her to her office where I think she said she worked as a behavioral therapist... that makes it funny...

These TWO were bought by a lovely couple form the New Orleans area which please my husband (native to Louisiana)...

These TWO are now residing with a sweet couple from Nebraska...!

And I was honored to see this last piece go to a sweet teacher from Massachusetts...

So while these pieces are not part of my family anymore, I am blessed to have had such a great response to my hard work and am so thankful to these people who have invested in me and independent artists in general!

In spite of the 103 degree heat I set up in, followed by the 60 mph wind and thunderstorm I finished up with... it always feels like an exciting adventure to travel and congregate with such a supportive community in our very own little tent villages for the weekend. Hopefully I will continue to have opportunities to spread my wings and grow my work and business in positive ways! Thanks for following and allowing me the time to crash as these weekends can also take a lot out of you! I am resting up and preparing for more, so stay tuned and thanks again for everything!
