Holiday Auction

Finally I got to get in my studio and do a little work this week! I don't know what has been going on with me, but I just cant get with the program! A lot is coming up in the next couple weeks, so I am doing my best to stay afloat, but why then does it feel like quicksand? The more I fight, the further I sink! AAH!

Okay... holding it together long enough to post this...
Last week I was contacted by Lakeshore Public Television to donate one of my art pieces to their holiday auction on PBS. I thought this was so cool, mostly because they found me on Etsy- searching specifically for American Flags. I think this is my first example of Etsy working the way it is supposed to- someone searching for a product, typing it in, and finding me in the results! It is so much fun to see people interact with your work, and is just reassuring with experiences like these that more people than just your friends and family have access to what you do! Don't get me wrong, I will continue to force feed my blog and artwork to those who have to love me anyway... But in the mean time, maybe doing fun things like this Holiday Auction can help generate some buzz! I will post more details as the auction gets closer (it will be televised, online, and on the radio...) But here is the piece I am working on to send in!

I may be touch and go in the next few days as I will be entertaining some family this week, but keep checking in for new updates! My sister and I will be traversing the great city of Chicago, for better or worse, so wish us luck! Any suggestions on some hidden city treasures?
